As part of the $100 million Phase 3B upgrade at Victoria International Container Terminal (VICT) at Webb Dock, Taylor Rail was engaged by Symal in October 2024 to deliver the complex installation of crane rail infrastructure directly adjacent to the wharf apron. The project, due for completion in 2026, supports the expansion of terminal capacity through new yard blocks, truck lanes, Auto Stacking Cranes (ASCs), and Auto Container Carriers.
Key Achievements:
- Completed the Ship to Shore A120 Crane Rail installation in a fully operational port environment.
- Successfully re-staged landside and waterside rail works to align with the evolving civil construction program.
- Delivered crane rail works in compliance with international Salix/Gantrex supervisor specifications.
- Cored all hold-down bolt holes into existing concrete foundations.
- Welded and stressed all installed rails and completed final track certification.
