    Parkes Phase 2

    Under Construction

    The Pacific National Parkes Terminal – Phase 2 Expansion Project is a $45 million development designed to enhance terminal capacity and efficiency by introducing Rubber Tyred Gantries (RTGs) and phasing out Reach Stackers. Delivered by Taylor Rail Australia, the project involves major rail siding extensions, hardstand construction, and seamless integration with the ARTC Mainline, ensuring no disruption to ongoing operations.     Level Crossing Program (MRPA)

    Under Construction

    A long-term contract to deliver comprehensive rail specialist construction services for the Metropolitan Roads Program Alliance (MRPA), valued at approximately $1 billion. MRPA, engaged by the Victorian Government under a Program Alliance model, is tasked with removing seven at-grade level crossings. Taylor Rail is providing expert engineering, demolition, overhead traction, and rail construction services to support the successful execution of this transformative infrastructure program.

    Light Servicing Facility

    Under Construction

    As part of the High-Capacity Metro Trains (HCMT) Project, Taylor Rail was engaged by Degnan to deliver 1025m of external plain track, 120m of fixed track within the new Light Service Facility at Calder Park, and all associated overhead traction works. The team completed works ahead of schedule within a tight rail possession window, leveraging in-house equipment and close collaboration with project partners to ensure certainty and best-for-project outcomes.

    Southern Highlands Overtaking Opportunities

    Under Construction

    The Southern Highlands Overtaking Opportunities (SHOO) project in NSW aims to boost rail network capacity by allowing 1,800-metre freight trains to be overtaken by faster services, improving operational flexibility and customer outcomes. Engaged in October 2024, Taylor Rail delivered comprehensive track reconditioning, drainage, crossover installations, and environmental management, alongside full safeworking coverage and final track certification.

    Port Rail Transformation

    Webb Dock No 3 Terminal

    Completed 2024

    Taylor Rail was contracted by Symal to deliver the Ship to Shore A120 Crane Rail works for the $100m Phase 3B expansion of VICT’s Webb Dock terminal, ensuring international standards and minimal disruption in an active port environment. The team completed all works—including re-staging, welding, and certification—within the complex constraints of live civil construction and shipping operations.

    Glenlee Intermodal Expansion Project

    Completed 2023

    The Glenlee Intermodal Expansion Project, valued at over $5 million, was delivered by Taylor Rail Australia for Borg (Cross Muller) to support the site's transformation into a key freight logistics hub anchored by Aurizon. The project included extensive rail works, from demolition to commissioning, in a fully operational environment, ensuring no unplanned disruptions. Taylor Rail's meticulous planning and value-engineering solutions optimised the rail alignment and drainage, resulting in a seamless connection to the ARTC mainline and ongoing site maintenance.

    Ivanhoe Rail Terminal Project

    Completed 2023

    Taylor Rail Australia, as part of the TRYIF JV, successfully delivered the Ivanhoe Rail Terminal project for Tronox Mining, constructing a new rail siding and connecting it to ARTC's East-West mainline. The project was completed three months ahead of schedule, under budget, and without disrupting ARTC operations, demonstrating Taylor Rail's commitment to quality, efficiency, and safety.

    Parkes Goobang Junction

    Completed 2023

    The Goobang Junction project in western NSW established a vital rail link between the ARTC north-south network and Pacific National’s Parkes Logistics Terminal, enabling 1800-metre double-stacked freight services across the east–west corridor. Taylor Rail delivered the full scope of track construction—including 940m of new rail, two turnouts, and drainage works—while navigating extreme weather conditions and achieving zero TRIFR.

    Port Botany Upgrade

    Completed 2022

    Taylor Rail Australia successfully delivered three stages of Patrick's Port Botany upgrade in partnership with Mainland Civil, enhancing the port's rail and operational capacity. The works included constructing four ARTC-standard rail sidings and installing 800 linear meters of crane runway rail with Gantrail plates, completed safely and efficiently in a live operational environment.     Parkes to Narromine

    Completed 2021

    The Parkes to Narromine (P2N) project marked the first Inland Rail upgrade between Brisbane and Melbourne, with Taylor Rail delivering over 113km of brownfield and greenfield works, new loops, and turnout renewals in challenging conditions. Despite record rainfall and COVID-19 disruptions, the team maintained zero TRIFR, minimised delays, and completed all possession works without impacting ARTC or PN operations.

    Pound Street

    Completed 2020

    Taylor Rail delivered all track works for the Pound Street rail bridge replacement as part of the Grafton Bridge project, including the demolition of the existing structure and installation of a 42-metre steel truss bridge during a major rail possession. Completed ahead of schedule in a tight-access urban environment, the project showcased Taylor Rail’s ability to coordinate complex works while maintaining strong collaboration with civil partners, ARTC, and the local community.
